EYJA GULDSMEDEN HOTEL
For lovers of four poster beds this is your hotel, as each room has one. Some of the rooms also offer views out to sea, the mountain or the city. Styled in Balinese makes this hotel feel like an escape and the on-site restaurant serves local and organic food, there is also a bar, fitness area and cycle hire all at the hotel. All the main attractions are close by, even closer by bike!
Hotel Island – Spa and Wellness Hotel
A great hotel for couples or a group of friends. This hotel has a spa, beauty salon and yoga facilities. Some rooms offer views out to the mountains and it has its own restaurant. Free Wi-Fi and parking are available and there is a fitness centre. Located fractionally further out from the very centre but still close enough to walk to Laugavegur, the main shopping street (650 yards). There is though a local bus stop close by and tour buses stop outside.
Black Pearl Apartment Hotel
Close to Old Reykjavik harbour and in the centre of town these are luxury apartments that make you feel at home away from home. Apartments come with a city view, free Wi-Fi and even an iPad. Although you have everything you need all at high quality, you can also have breakfast delivered to you if your prefer.
Parking is on-site which makes this a great base for those exploring further afield by car. Walk out the door though and you’ll find Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja church and the art museum all easily reachable.
